Mary Elizabeth Furnald

Mary Elizabeth Furnald is the author The Inheritance and The Tangerine Cafeteria.The book The Fearsome Foursome was written for and about her great grandchildren. She is a 60-year-member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and past president of Georgia State Chapter.  She was commissioned by Georgia State Chapter of P.E.O. to compile and edit the book To Educate A Woman which gives the histories of Georgia scholarship funds in the P.E.O. Foundation; and also commissioned to write P.E.O. in Georgia Vol. II, a history of P.E.O. in Georgia for the past 20 years. Mary Elizabeth is active in the Methodist Church, DAR, Colonial Dames, and the Montgomery Press and Author’s Club.  She is a member of the Montgomery Historical Society, the Montgomery Genealogical Society and the Old South Society.  She presently lives in Montgomery, Alabama, with her husband Don.
